Parental Failure? ...Please!

Another day, another idiotic news article reported by those buffoons writing at the Irish Independent office!  I sometimes wish my father would stop bringing this paper into our home...but then what would I have to blog about? ;)  This time, they and the medical profession are wagging their fingers at us 'failing' parents, who do not vaccinate our children.  Shame on us all for not believing Big Pharma when they tell us, that injecting mercury and aluminium into our babies is safe!

You shouldn't eat fish that may have traces of these metals, some of which will then be excreted, by the functions of the gut during the digestion process...but its a-ok to inject them directly, in greater proportions, into a tiny baby repeatedly over the first few months of life!  Erm, sounds a teensy bit unbelieveable to me...but hey what do I know I only have my childens best interests at heart instead of whopping $$$$ signs!

(my emphasis' are highlighted in bold)

Parents were yesterday warned to ensure their children get all of the jabs against potentially fatal diseases as figures show a drop in the uptake of vaccines.

The Health Service Executive said infants need five GP visits in the first 13 months of life for full immunisation -- and if they fail to get the necessary booster shots then the early vaccines are worthless.

Dr Alf Nicholson, a paediatrician at Temple Street Hospital in Dublin, said that many parents are not getting their children vaccinated, despite the fact that they are free of charge.

This failure by parents  means we are just below the numbers needed for herd immunity -- meaning that if an outbreak occurs, it will spread rapidly amongst those who have not been immunised.

"We need a vaccination rate of about 90pc or 95pc for herd immunity," he said. "But at the moment we're at the 88pc or 89pc mark.

"About two years ago we had a major drop in the numbers getting the MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccine because people were concerned about the link between MMR and autism. But that's been completely refuted and the numbers have gone back up. But they're still not high enough."

He said the problem was exacerbated by a very strong anti-vaccine lobby in the US and Europe -- but each country was handling the problem in their own way.

"In Hungary vaccination is compulsory," said Dr Nicholson. "And in France it's linked to child welfare payments. So if you don't have your child vaccinated your payments drop."

Dr Brenda Corcoran, of the national immunisation office, said there has been a drop in numbers getting the Hib booster and third doses of PCV (pneumococcal conjugate vaccine) and Men C vaccine, which protects against meningitis and septicaemia.

"We have seen a number of measles outbreaks in Ireland in recent years, which could have been prevented," she said.

A new guide to childhood immunisation for parents has been launched to coincide with European Immunisation Week, which runs until Saturday.

A new immunisation tracker has also been launched to help parents keep track of their children's vaccination history while also sending them timely reminders of when a further vaccination is due.
The tracker, which is available on irishhealth.com and iTunes, sends parents reminders when their child needs to be immunised, or needs a booster shot.

Among the vaccines given is one for tuberculosis (TB) at birth, a six-in-one shot, which must be given three times to protect against polio, whooping cough and other diseases; and the MMR vaccine, which is first given at 12 months.
Separately, the Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF) has also raised concerns over the drop in uptake of life-saving vaccines.

Young adults and children are most likely to carry the bacteria that cause meningitis -- inflammation of the lining around the brain and spinal cord -- and septicaemia, the blood poisoning form of the disease.
Up to 300 cases are recorded each year with one-in-10 patients dying. And 20pc of survivors are left with after-effects including brain damage, deafness, blindness and limb loss.
Clodagh Hegarty, medical information officer, said: "Many types of bacterial meningitis can be prevented through vaccination.

"It is vital that parents ensure their children are fully vaccinated against strains of meningitis and are also aware of the signs and symptoms of the diseases as this can save a life."
- Edel Kennedy

I will again link to these two books which gave our family lots of background information, on the very disturbing issue of vaccinations.  I have blogged about this issue before here, here and here.  It is our duty as parents to ensure that we are aware of all the facts (regardless of what our final decision may be) before you agree to allow your children to be vaccinated.

It seems to me, that injecting unknown drugs, that have unknown side effects, and could potentially harm my child is more of a parental failure than not immunising!  I will once again implore any mothers reading who have not researched this topic, to do so before agreeing to immunise your children further!  But be warned that in educating yourself and protecting your family you could have your 'child allowance' payments cut as an...incentive?  Sounds like fascism to me...

http://healthwyze.org/index.php/vaccine-secrets.html This is a good link about what's in vaccines. There are actually several articles on the site about them. You're right on!

I agree with you. I don't know why they think they are so important. I have learned alot since my first child. I don't think we would have to worry about alot of these diseses if parents moms were home with there kids instead of sending them to daycares and babysitters.

"Twinkle Toes" up there also shared this link on her blog recently too. http://www.cogforlife.org/vaccineList.pdf It's pretty much a quick chart on which vaxxes are made using murdered (aborted) babies. We've only been using natural health for the past 3(?) years. I was completely ignorant as to the dangers, how they are made, and everything else.

I have been getting letters from our children's pediatrician lately scribbled in bold letters and red ink: Josiah has a SEVERE immunization delay!

I've been considering getting a waiver. We don't need a waiver since our kids aren't in school or daycare or little league or anything else. Just it would be easier to tell folks we have an immunization waiver instead of feeling like we have to defend our position against doctors.

My third son,Jonathan, and his wife aren't going to vaccinate their children. They also are not going to pierce their daughters' ears-Leviticus 19:28 KJ(no piercings or tatoos). I noticed that the people I know who do vaccinate also pierce their baby daughters' ears. My son and his wife do make sure their daughter(2) wears shoes when outside. One person I know is avoiding the vaccinations with diploid cells. When we mentioned diploid cells to a pediatrician she acted like she never heard of them.

Thank you all sweet ladies! I am so grateful that you shared links with me also! I will be checking these out as soon as I can.

Twinkle Toes - Thank you for sharing your resource...I love that you ladies encourage me to learn more!

Chelle - I agree with you Chelle. I actually heard just recently, the babies/toddlers of some old friends of mine actually catching 'foot and mouth disease' at their daycare facility! I felt so bad for the mothers but you just don't know the conditions of those places!

Elizabeth - How unnerving that you are receiving letters from your pediatrician...SEVERE! You've just got to laugh...the doctor must be breaking out in cold sweats in case he loses his 'incentives' provided by Merck and Co!

Taryn - So glad you stopped by my blog and took the time to comment! I sure do appreciate it! Thank you also for sharing your experiences with vaccinations.

Our Family Is His said...

I am new to your blog, so forgive me for posting on a bit of an older post. But this is a hot spot for our family. Let me give you a quick bit of background. We used to be staunch supporters of vaccination. Not only vaccination, but doing it on the doctor prescribed time table. We felt that those who didn't vaccinate, or even did it delayed, were nothing more than hippy tree huggers thrown back from the 60's. We would roll our eyes at the ridiculous claims they made and their reasons.

Fast forward 10 years to our child receiving one set of vaccinations, on time and without a bit of hesitation on our part. That evening he got the normal fever that you are told they will get, he stopped talking, but we figured he just didn't feel good. Kids often feel like they are sick when they get these shots. We weren't worried. But the next day he wasn't talking (he had excellent speech and communication skills prior, I even have doctor notes in his chart stating how advanced he was. People would laugh at his little man speech.) or the day after that. He just ceased to communicate. We weren't super worried, until he started the running, hours and hours and hours each day of running. Then the head banging into the walls, the doors, and even our TV began, the running into walls and windows so hard he nearly popped one window out of the pane. This was not normal and it happened so fast. One minute you have a calm, happy, normal child, and suddenly (literally within hours) you have a child that won't look you in the eyes, can't follow basic directions, can't speak a word, and is harming himself.

That's when we started to question what happened. That's when we realized what happened. We had a vaccine damaged child. Of course, we realized this too late and our second child had a series of vaccines that harmed him as well. Totally different set. We questioned why a child that was not even 3 had 35 medications shoved into his little body. What reason could there be for that? Why would we tell parents putting 4 different, brand new to the child, medications into their body at one time was safe and acceptable while telling them at the same visit to not start more than one new food at a time or you wouldn't know what they reacted to should they have a reaction. The questions came and were answered...$$$$$.

We now don't vaccinate. We have a waiver, though we don't have to have one, and thankfully have further protection via a letter from our doctor giving our sons a life long waiver from any further vaccinations, even if laws change.

BTW, I am not one that thinks vaccines cause ASD's. I think those that are genetically predisposed have something in their systems triggered by the onslought of chemicals put into their too young and not ready bodies.

Thank you for your comment. I am so sorry that your family has been through this and that your son was vaccine injured. It was truly upsetting ready your sons story.

Our family also used to believe that non-vaccinating parents were often "tree-huggers"...until we did our own research. Like you I believe that some children are much more adversely affected than others. Whilst doing our own research we felt that very often in those cases the child also had acute food allergies also. Maybe this is not scientifically proven but it is what we noticed as we read through some case studies.

Thank you for being open and courgeous enough to share your story here. May God bless you and your family.
