I Shall Go To Him...

"...I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me."
~ 2 Samuel 12:23

Last week, as we neared the time when we were looking forward to being able to share the exciting news, that we were again expecting a new baby, we sadly learned that our baby had passed away.  I was at twelve weeks gestation, but the sonographer suggested that our baby had passed a couple of weeks earlier.

While we had intended not to share this sad news with anyone, other than with those who already knew, we have become convicted that it is important to acknowledge our baby's very short life.  Our society no longer likes to acknowledge the LIFE of the un-born, simply because it makes the whole issue of abortion very uncomfortable.  So while it is hard to share this news, even more so since we have gone through it a few times now, we feel it is important to stand for LIFE.

"The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart;
and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit."
~ Psalm 34:18

We are heart-broken, and at times it is hard to be humble and accept God's will.  However, we trust that He does work all things together for good, and rejoice that one day we WILL see our precious babies again in Heaven.

One day the trumpet will sound for His coming,
One day the skies with His glories will shine;
Wonderful day, my beloved ones bringing;
Glorious Savior, this Jesus is mine!
